Caitlin Rose Sweet is a multimedia artist who uses craft to explore the relationship between the human body and the handmade object. She chooses craft as her medium due to its rich material history and how it is embedded in everyday life. Craft is community based art. She draws inspiration from folklore, queer expression and friction between craft and art. Working primarily in ceramics, Sweet has a rich practice that includes installations to hand crafted line of ritual objects. These ritual objects embrace feminine adornment and queer intimacies to serve as tools for embodiment and self care.
